miseryfieldes asked: I've read in many articles that you should strive for "show" writing rather than "tell" writing. Many of them have the quote from Mark Twain, "Don't tell us the old lady screamed. Bring her on and let her scream." As an aspiring writer, I'm not exactly sure how to really go about doing this. Any tips?

1) Bring on the old lady.

2) Show her something terrible.

3) Listen to her scream.

4) Write it down.
