i totally understand the problem as I struggle with it myself from time to time. What I do is trying to add little details to each scene that make it more fun to write, maybe the way two characters interact, or how one fidgets - just to give it more life. I am also someone who has multiple WIPs bc I find it hard to stay focused on the same thing for a long time. If you are writing fantasy, google places that look similar to what you have in mind. Look for art.
