lonelycowboi asked:
have u read the bible, if not how did u know about bildad the shuhite being a part of it?
I have. And Bildad the Shuhite is one of Job’s three “comforters” in the Book of Job. (But John Finnemore wrote that story, not I.)

Hi Neil, I saw you in Boston last night, where you mentioned the name of an author whose books you wished you had read when you were younger. I didn’t have time to write down her name, and neither me or my mom can remember it. Please help?
Diana Wynne Jones
szczuroshroom asked:
since aziracrow know every language do they know sign language, or is it only verbally spoken languages?
They know all languages. That would definitely include all sign languages.
Coraline.
Funny little story, last year my best friend and I were brainstorming ideas for our Halloween costumes and since we’re both huge fans of Neil’s stories (Good Omens is, has always been and always will be my favourite book AND my favourite series, hers is the Graveyard Book) we looked at each other and both, at the same time, announced: Neil Gaiman partner costumes. The only thing that was disclosed was “we’ll dress up as the BEST Neil Gaiman story duo”. And we always, always get told we remimd people of Crowley and Aziraphale so to me it was pretty clear what the unspoken agreement here was.
We thought it would be fun not to share the costume-making process and just dress up in different rooms before the Halloween party and then surprise each other with the end result so we did exactly that. While I took half a lifetime with the contact lenses for my Crowley costume, she dressed up in the other room and I was so so so happy that we were going as Crowley and Aziraphale, the moment I exited the bathroom, very visually impaired with the contact lenses and the sunglasses, in front of me didn’t stand Aziraphale - but the Other Mother, a spot-on real-life nightmare complete with huge black button eyes glued over her actual eyes and everything and let me tell you my poor soul left my body for a moment because I WAS ANTICIPATING A SMILEY HAPPY ANGEL and was greeted by my nightmares come alive to haunt me.
Btw we both kept losing each other in the crowd while dancing because neither of us had actual eyesight but we agreed that these will forever be our Halloween partner costumes 😂
Yes.
seaweednpeanuts asked:
Hi Neil,
Have you ever done a cameo in any of the Good Omens episodes? There’s someone who looks a lot like you in season one when Crowley is at the cinema.
Thanks for all you do ❤️
That was me.
I’m afraid not. I’ll be writing things people are waiting for in November.

hi neil! hope this ask finds you taking a break from a satisfying day of writing good omens S3 scripts.
do you ever listen to any of the foreign dubs of your shows, just for kicks? i assume they're written & produced independently from you - or do you ever get asked for input on a tricky translation? for example, this cute french reworking of aziraphale inviting justine to the shopkeepers' meeting.
I was already on strike when the translations were happening. I love that French translation you linked to, though.
mortastical asked:
Was the production of Sandman Audible IV impacted by the writer's or SAG/AFTRA strikes?
No. Actually it was probably made easier because everyone we wanted was available to record for us including me.
