I heard it had happened to some people, but right now it’s anecdotal. (If you follow me on Twitter, try leaving a review of something you actually want to leave a review of, and let me know if it went up okay.)
I just left a review for Stardust. Amazon emailed to say the review has gone live. As a control, I also left a review on a book written by someone I do know personally as well as follow on Twitter; it has gone live as well. I’m really glad because the more I think about this, the more I think I would have gotten deeply creeped out if Amazon had a way of paying attention to my Twitter account without my knowledge.
Which makes sense. I think we can now suspect that the “Amazon won’t let twitter followers leave reviews” think is probably not a true thing.
