This show was a little more disjointed and improvised than has been typical of the “Evening With” shows, which is saying something since they’re not generally slick productions. But this merely added to the ambiance and the crowd happily went with it. Awesome special guests Meow Meow, Lance Horne, and Kat Robichaud made it a truly special evening. There were also a lot of “AFP virgins” in the crowd who were hearing songs like Judy Blume, Map of Tasmania, and Ukelele Anthem for the first time and it was fun to hear their reactions.

Do you ever wake up in the morning & go “Holy shit I’m married to Neil Gaiman!”? In Classic Amanda style she re-interpreted this as “Holy shit! I’m fucking Neil Gaiman!” (Short answer: “No.”)
