Hello!

First of all, season two was brilliant, I loved every minute of it, and I can't wait for what's next!

I have a probably silly question to ask you-

image

We know that all Nina's copies of Everyday had previously been different records and had turned into Everyday after Gabriel's miracle. And that the new ones she sent turned into Everyday after being played on that specific jukebox.

If these records were for a jukebox, how come the hole is too small? Did somebody take the record out of the jukebox and put a 45rpm adapter insert inside of it, just to send it back to the shop? Seems a bit unlikely to me.

I suppose I was wondering if this was an oversight and I'm just far too nitpicky or if there was an actual explanation.

I'm far from an expert when it comes to records or jukeboxes so it's possible I'm just missing something but it did catch my eye! And my dad, who is much more knowledgeable about records than me, pointed it out too.

Thank you! Sorry for such a long message :)

I pointed it out as soon as I saw the singles. We actually reshot scenes with the correct kind of hole in the record, and had plans to CGI the holes in scenes we couldn’t reshoot but it started to turn into a monumental project aimed only at pleasing me and your dad and somewhere in there we said “oh sod it” and let it be a goof.

Hello Mr Gaiman,

I was just wondering why do Michael &co believe Aziraphale when he says he made Nina and Maggie fall in love when he later says that "Miracles don't work like that"?

Profound lack of experience with day to day earthly miracles.

i think it’s cool that you use tumblr. you dont see a lot of celebrities or writers/producers/actors on here anymore. i appreciate what you’re doing.

also you’re going to jail and then to hell for that new season

I’m still processing that people are saying this because they cared more than they expected to about what happened. And they aren’t saying it because they thought the acting or the way it was shot or the direction or the VFX were bad, or that the dialogue was clumsy or out of character. They say it because it made them feel things they weren’t expecting to feel.

Hello Neil! Quite sorry if you’ve already answered this question but I’ve been reading a certain book by the name of, ‘Anatomy’ by Dana Schwartz and was wondering if this book inspired the 3rd episode in the new season of good omens… Just thought they both pertained to restrictionists and also saw your quote on it! Have a wonderful evening.

Dana’s book is wonderful, as is Dana, but no. Cat Clarke and I chose The Resurrectionists because we were shooting in Edinburgh and because it was a place we could go for some wonderful moral choices for Aziraphale.

‪Hi Mr. Gaiman)

‪I have a question regarding Crowley and Aziraphale not being able to resurrect humans. It seemed like the demons killed Mr. Brown, but than we see him alive and well at the end of the last episode. I thought Crowley brought him back to life after escorting Maggie and Nina out. Was I wrong to think that? what actually happened?‬

‪I know you get a lot of questions and might not get to this one. either way thank you in advance and have a good day)

P.S. I loooved the second season and can’t stop thinking about it. ‬

Mr Brown had not been killed. He was taken by the demons and stashed away to be dealt with later – Shax was still intimidated by Crowley’s declaration that the demons could not kill civilian humans at that point.

Every day my mind realises just how seriously and deeply devastating that final episode of good omens was. I don’t even mean devastating in the bad way, but in the way where it makes you feel REAL feelings, when you can feel your heart sink with frustration and compassion. Idk i might just be an overly emotional gal but this is my thank you and well done note to you. Not many people have the ability to create a story so fictional yet SO real. Thank you <3

You are so welcome. That was what we were all going for: to make people feel real feelings.

I’m glad that people are responding to it like this, too.

Hello, Mr. Gaiman. I just wanted to say how very much it meant to me to see disabled angels in the show.

I grew up in an oppressive religion that preached everyone would automatically lose any disability in heaven, which sounds nice if you don’t think about it, but to a disabled person who wouldn’t even BE me without them, I was terrified. Even when I still believed in it, part of me thought it wouldn’t be too bad to go to hell because at least I’d be myself.

It was to the point where when I mentioned something about my disability, unprompted, a member said “Well, you’ll be perfect in heaven.”

So after all that nonsense it really meant the world to me to see a powerful angel in heaven who was allowed to be disabled, it has been healing my heart and making me smile for weeks. 💝

I’m glad.

I have a question, why does Crowley not react or do anything when Micheal is talking about how she has power and will be removing aziraphale from the book of life? How can he be sitting calmly?

Thank you if you ever answer this and I loved the book and the series. 😊

I suppose he could have got up suddenly and rushed around the room, but it might have been a bit out of character.

Hi, Neil. This is not the first ask I've sent you and I know you're very busy so I apologize. I just wanted to let you know, because I know how much you enjoy our pain, that my partner finished GO season 2 late last night and I woke up this morning to nine voice messages and forty six texts from him. Most of the voice messages were unintelligible because of how hard he was crying but here's a little piece from one of them: "... Like, he's such a great author and such a great person...[unintelligible sobbing]... why would he do this to us?!" I was hoping that maybe you could respond with something to assure him that our Ineffable Husbands will be okay. I really need help cheering him up, he's very upset. His name is Kai and he really is a sweetheart - very tenderhearted so he took it pretty hard. We're both big fans of yours so it would mean a lot, but I completely understand if you're too busy.

Much love,

Blu

Tell him it’s okay to feel things and to care about fictional people and about stories. And reassure him that this story is not yet finished. This was the quiet and romantic jam in the apocalypse sandwich, and we have a way to go before it’s done.

Hi Neil!

Question: In regards to the amount of fire extinguishers in the bookshop in season 2 — who put them there? Was it Aziraphale, done out of fear that his precious books could go up in flames again? Or did Crowley put them there for the angel’s safety? (or is it a secret third option?)

As always, thank you so much for everything you and Terry have done to create such a wonderful story and universe <3

Aziraphale invested heavily in fire extinguishers and battery operated candles.
