perispinel asked: No offense, but I didn't know you were still alive. May I ask what television shows you watch nowadays?
I never manage to make it beyond the first sentence to get to the question.
Okay. I recovered from being taken aback.
I’m definitely still alive, as of midnight tonight, I’m glad to say.
Most of the television I’m watching these days is work-related: I’m spending my work days in a dark room watching cuts of Good Omens, going, “I think we’re on Mrs Beeton’s cookbook for just a few frames too long, can we shave that off?” and “I think I can write another line we could put in there, at the point when he’s looking through the slot in the door and we can’t see his mouth, that would set up what’s happening.”
And after staring at a TV screen from 10 am until 6 pm, the last thing I want to do is watch a TV screen for pleasure.
So right now, nothing at all. The last thing I watched and loved was a binge on The Good Place. And after listening to the Unpopped podcast I want to go back and finish Twin Peaks, which I was loving, but was watching with Amanda (my wife, also still living) but stopped last year when I was shooting Good Omens and we weren’t together enough to watch regularly, along with the Wild Wild Country documentary, which stopped when I went off on my own to edit…
