- William Bibbiani: Was Neil Gaiman adamant about anything? Was he ever like, "You have to nail this one part?"
- Bryan Fuller: There was only one time where he said "Don't do that or I'll throw myself in front of a bus," and so we didn't.
- William Bibbiani: What did you almost do?
- Bryan Fuller: Well…
- Michael Green: It yielded a better moment than we would've eventually had.
- William Bibbiani: So it was like a plot thing…?
- Bryan Fuller: It was just something that Shadow reacted to, that Neil felt he wouldn't have that reaction, and so we did not have that reaction.
- This is true. And the moment that we got in the end was worth me threatening busicide.

I will not be there. I will be in Australia. Sigh…
You need incredible powers or really good drugs to do this.
Well, you need Zorya Polunochnaya, anyway…

Happy Valentine’s Day, world.
Hello, lovelies!
If you’re a Neil Gaiman fan in or near the NYC/Hudson River Valley area (or can get yourself there), Neil will be at Bard College at 7:30 EST on Sat. April 15, 2017, to talk about the American Gods adaptation.
Tickets are $25 each, unless you are a member of the Bard community (Bardite? Bardian? Bardfellow?), in which case it is free.
I’ll be there! Say hello! :)
I’ll be there too. I’m hoping they’ll let us screen something too…
Happy Birthday, Neil Gaiman!

It’s been a good birthday, and that has surprised me, given how heavy my heart is right now. But family and friends conspired to surprise me with a very unexpected birthday breakfast, and I am counting my blessings and determined to work harder to keep the world the one I wanted to live in, one that takes care of people – all the people; one that is kind; one that is diverse in all ways, and treasures that diversity.
And I’m glad right now about the existence of the AMERICAN GODS TV series. If there was a better time to bring America this cast in this show I cannot imagine it.
It really is. All four books – American Gods, Anansi Boys, Monarch of the Glen and Black Dog are gorgeous.
