According 'angel hierarchy' if you can call it that, principalities are one rank above archangels. Michael, Uriel, Saraqiel and especially Gabriel, treat Aziraphale very much like an underling, however. Even in S1 before they (Aziraphale and Crowley) were cast out of their respective offices. Did he get a demotion anywhere in time, or does the Good Omens universe simply not conform to the many rules of Christianity?
