levulosandcolore asked:
Why did you make Aziraphale power-hungry? He even controlled people… doesn’t seem like him
I don’t think of Aziraphale as power-hungry at all.
thattripleabattery asked:
Idk if this has been asked but why does Crowley seem to live out of his Bentley in season 2? What happened to his suite/apartment/house?
Shax is living there now. That’s why she gives him his mail, and why she asks about the hot water.
This may be of use to you all…
It’s a way to get to cut scenes.
morpheus-s-dearest asked:
Hello! I was wondering for some reason if what we see Crowley kickstart at the beginning of the first episode is like all space or only a quadrant? Thank you!
It’s just that little area of space. It’s not the whole Universe.
I like to think that the construction of the Good Omens universe was rolled out in stages, which happened before time properly started, and there may have been delays caused by (for example) the great war between the angels and the rebel angels, which needed to happen and be wrapped up before the Earth bit and the Garden of Eden could happen, and the 6000ish year clock officially start ticking.
The swedish turnip (or rutabaga, as the Americans often call it) is one of the four vegetables that the word turnip can refer to.
And this was shot in Scotland, remember…
hiscleric asked:
hey neil!!
the historical flashbacks are some of my favorite scenes in season 1 and season 2 of good omens, so i was wondering if there were any time periods you’d really like to portray aziraphale and crowley in that you haven’t already???
Quite a few. Ones that we had planned as possible for Season 2 (that either didn’t get written or didn’t get filmed) included a Wild West one, a 15th century Papal one, an Arabian Nights one, and a 1960s American one with Crowley and Aziraphale female presenting. And we have the whole of human history as a canvas. But for now the ones you’ve got are all.
justapersoncarryon asked:
Hello Mr Gaiman
I was wondering if it was an intentional choice to show Gabriel and Beelzebub in love without a kiss scene because they are more detached from earth and humanity unlike Aziraphale and Crowley who know about human pleasures and rituals and adapted them.
I don’t think kissing scenes have much to do with love. Anathema and Newt kissed when they barely knew each other in Season 1, and none of the other couples who loved each other did. I can’t see any reason for Gabriel and Beelzebub to kiss: singing Everyday together seemed much more powerful. Crowley’s kiss is about a lot of things but it’s not to show they’re in love: if you haven’t got it by then you’ll never get it.
witteredwords asked:
Neeeeeil… neeeeeiiiillll… it’s your conscience speaking… saw the ask about giving Aziraphale a beard… don’t give him one… he doesn’t need one… you know I’m right, Neil, I’m your conscience…
I’ll tell Dottie and Sadie to stand down then.
iceeclaw546 asked:
Hihi Mr. Gaiman! I don’t know if you will see this or it will get buried in the absolute sea of asks you are getting but it’s worth a shot:
So in season 1 Aziraphale and Crowley are said to use the “main entrance” to Heaven and Hell but in season 2 all the characters going up or down are seen using a lift. Is there a reason this change was made or is the lift just more convenient?
There are lots of ways to Hell and to Heaven. In Season 1 I wrote a lift but we found a fabulous staircase instead. In Season 2 I wrote a lift and we used a lift. The Demons came up the stairs, as Shax ordered but we didn’t get to see that.
froginapicklejar asked:
Where did Gabriel get the outfit (the sparkling blue tux and fabulous fur coat) he wore in S2E5? Did he or Aziraphale miracle it or did Aziraphale just have it lying around the bookshop?
Aziraphale dressed him appropriately, as he did everyone who came in to the Whickber Street Shopkeepers and Street Traders Association meeting that evening.
