Heyyyy Neil, I know this is probably gonna get lost in the inbox, but I HAVE to ask:

How long have you been planning Beelzebub and Gabriel’s relationship? Did you intentionally plant the seeds in season one like many people think, or did you see the fans come up with it and think “oh that’s really good”? Was this something that was planned with Terry? Would we get to see more of them in the hypothetical season 3?

I don’t think I planned it in Season 1, but like everyone else (only two years earlier) I watched the characters interact together on screen and thought they went incredibly well together. So I was already planning that part of Season 2 before Season 1 aired.

The BBC has just rereleased the Radio Adaptation! Four episodes are out already…

Hey hey, Neil!

Why won’t characters such as Hastur be making a return?

I’m not sure what you mean by “characters such as Hastur”. But of the characters like Hastur, Ligur isn’t coming back because he’s dead, the Usher isn’t coming back because he’s dead, Dagon is coming back, Beelzebub is coming back and Eric is coming back.

Hastur isn’t coming back because I didn’t have anything for him to do this season.

Hello, Neil! You said there were going to be lots of Easter Eggs in S2, so can it be we found one of them?? Aziraphale here is supposedly holding his phone upside down, just like his celestial brother from Supernatural (the show that I adore), Castiel, always held the FBI badge?? 🤩😇😇

Lots of respect and best of wishes to you,

Helen

I’m afraid I never watched Supernatural. But that’s nice. This is the first time Aziraphale has ever held a cellphone.

I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT THE WAIT AND SEE THING WAS ACTUALLY PART OF THE SCRIPT. SO IT WAS A RUNNING JOKE THE WHOLE TIME

Actually I think I wrote that line in around June of 2021. So we’d been Wait and Seeing here for a while already. But I’m amazed that it’s kept going long enough to feel like a punch line…

Someone just sent me a lovely summary of the audience reaction at a screening they were at.

I’m not going to put the whole thing up as (spoilers) but just a note that on the first Crowley and Shax scene my correspondent said,

*Shocked gasps when Crowley said “I don’t talk to him anymore (paraphrase)” re: Aziraphale

And that’s actually not what he says. Blame it on the acoustics. When Crowley is asked about Aziraphale and Heaven he says “They don’t talk to him any more.” Meaning Heaven doesn’t talk to Aziraphale.

Neil Gaiman Tumblr FAQ: Good Omens

Tumblr questions that Neil Gaiman has already answered.
Yes, it does have some Neil-provided info of S2. But, it is spoiler leak-free! (It also does not have spoilers from early screenings of S2.)

Docs Version: Here
Spreadsheet Version: Here

I’m excited about Good Omens 2 and I was already going through Neil Gaiman’s blog ( @neil-gaiman ). I initially made it for me and my friends for reference, but then decided to go ahead and throw it out into the Tumblr void, too. I hope it helps.

I made my own FAQ about this here (please check it before messaging me): OrpiKnight’s FAQ FAQ

Before you ask a Good Omens question, look here. An incredibly impressive job of research and gathering.

Just a note to the people who have now seen episodes 1 and 2 to say…

…you know how cool it was to see all that stuff and be surprised and delighted?

Please do your best to keep it to yourself for another 9 days. So that other people can be happy and surprised in the same way that you were.
