(Full disclosure, I’m happy when TV shows make reference to the pandemic as it’s good public health messaging, so was pleased when Maggie mentioned the lockdowns. But I wasn’t sure what to make of only seeing masks when the demons invade the bookshop, unless I missed something…)
There are quite a few masked passers-by in the show as well. We shot the Good Omens 2 in October-March 2021 and masks were compulsory for all of us unless we were actors on camera.
And I liked the idea that, as Shax explained, some of the more unlikely demons would try to use masks to blend in. I don’t think it worked.
