We were so young. Amanda and I had been dating for about 4 months. I’d never really dated anyone before and wasn’t quite sure how to do it. This was one of the ways I did it.
Mostly, I remember the amazing “How can YOU, a NEWBERY MEDAL WINNING CHILDREN’S AUTHOR be photographed in a bathtub with a naked woman?” emails and tweets that came in afterwards. Which left me wondering what would happen when those people read AMERICAN GODS.
