Amanda put together an event for the Vancouver Food Bank at the Vogue Theatre here last night. I love these more or less annual events – they’ve raised over $100,000 in money for the Food Bank so far, and are a glorious hodgepodge of talented people we run into at TED and locals. I also love the speed with which they happen: Riz and I spoke at a workshop about refugees, and I asked if he’d like to be part of it, texted Amanda to put him on the bill. He was astonishing, performing a piece called Sour Times. Here’s a photo from the wings.
