I am fucking seething right now

downlookingup:

Barnes and Noble canceled my pre-order of The Ocean at the End of the Lane.

I’ve been waiting for that book since the pre-order was announced.

They’re not even taking pre-orders for signed hardcovers anymore.

Why would you fucking do this to me, Barnes and Noble?

WHY?!

(This is why everyone shops at Amazon.)

For anyone in this situation (sorry, not my fault or anything much to do with me but): You have two options:

PORTER SQUARE BOOKS still have some signed book left, I believe. Not a lot, and they may not be able to get them to you by publication date. But the webpage is at http://www.portersquarebooks.com/pre-order-signed-copy-ocean-end-lane

I just got my advance copy of the signed limited edition: it’s designed and illustrated by Dave McKean. It’s wonderful and beautiful. It’s also EXPENSIVE.  You can look at at it here: http://j.mp/mckeanOcean

It won’t be out until July 30th…

The other option is, I’ll be signing a LOT of copies on tour. Many of the bookshops are going to have signed copies left over afterwards…
